Financial aid?

When is the last day to receive your financial aid?!

bump…

The question makes no sense. If you’re asking about the deadline, it’s June 1st. Get all your documents in NOW.

it says that june 1st is the priority deadline for financial aid… what does that mean? do we just get to see our package earlier if we do it by june 1st? or does it absolutely need to be turned in by then

wait, get what documents in? o.o

It means the people who turn their documents in by June 1 get priority allocation for grant money, and you receive your award faster, yes.

The documents are whatever is on your To Do list in MyUCSC.

When is the deadline to accept awards? I’m in an awkward situation of getting my tuition switched to in-state (thus adding Cal Grant A to my package) and am holding off accepting anything for as long as possible…

they get priority grant money?? ok so i definitely should try to get them in before then i guess…

wait. i turn in everything they ask on to do list. but i am asking whats the deadline to accept the aid?!

Okeefe:
If you didn’t graduate from a California high school as a California resident, then you’re not eligible for Cal Grant.

spikeisfat:
You risk getting little to no aid if you miss the deadlines. Only federal aid will be awarded for sure after the deadline to have all documents in. So yes, get everything in before June 1.

I haven’t seen a hard fast deadline, but I’d imagine “sometime before the bill is due” later this summer. Otherwise you’ll be stuck with the bill yourself and no financial aid to cover it.

What documents? I dont see any on my to do list :S

If everything on your to do list says it has been received, then you’re golden. Some people are selected for verification (a requirement of FAFSA for a certain percentage of students at a school).
