BannerWeb isn't working for me. I assume it's because of the sheer number of prospies trying to get into the site.

Sorry, it seems we’ll have to wait a while.
According to the email Smith sent on March 19th (you might have ignored this as an early write admit):
You will not receive any information about financial aid online. If you
were admitted and have received financial aid, you will be notified with
your official letter of admission. Please do not call or email the Office
of Student Financial Services. This information cannot be released over
the telephone or email.

Darn. When I emailed them about something else, they responded “Once you log in to BannerWeb tonight after 6:00 p.m. EST to see your decision, you will also see your financial package. That should answer all your questions.” Guess I misunderstood this email. Thanks! :)

Smith’s financial aid package was a slap in the face. They wanted at least double of anywhere else I applied, and almost quadruple what Wellesley wanted. Smith’s officially off my list.

You can appeal it, you know? There’s always the chance they made a mistake. If you show them the awards you were given by Wellesley and other schools, they’ll probably try to match their offer.
