<p>I put my family's income into University of Michigan's calculator, and I found this. However, I know that I will receive a $5,000 a year foster care scholarship. Will this scholarship count in the average $16450 to $19650 that is awarded to people with my income bracket, or will it probably be additional?</p>

<p>The foster care scholarship would be deducted from your loan contribution, not from your grant - ie., you’d have less in debt.</p>
