financial aid

I got my aid package the other day, and they met my EFC, but in reality it is not enough for me to be able to afford W and L. Do you know if there is any way to appeal the decision and get more money?

Call the financial aid office and ask, though I have not heard of any way you could do that.

A few of my class mates have written e-mails to the fin aid office (calling might be easier for you, since you are a US resident). If you had initially asked for more fin aid, and they gave you lower aid than asked, you could write a polite mail to them, expressing your enthusiasm to attend WLU, and even though you have been accepted to other colleges, you really wish to attend WLU, so if possible to please reconsider your financial aid. This will not change your admission status in any way. I did this, but they said, "they had already been quite generous". Anyway, hopefully you will have better luck.

yea, i wrote them a letter and I have a feeling that I will get a response similar to yours... We'll see. How long did it take them to respond to your letteR?

I do not quite remember, but i beleive it was a week atleast. But maybe they will reply sooner now, since all the admissions is over with. Good Luck!
