Hi, I am an incoming freshmen who is seriously considering SCU. I really like SCU for its small size, location of the campus and its well known business school.( I am a business major most likely accounting.). The only reason I have not committed to SCU is due to the high cost of attendance which is estimated to be around 60k. My parents make around 30k a year plus I have an older brother who is transferring from a CC to a UC next year. I received 15 k in grants and nothing from the school due to me not completing the CSS profile in time. I was wondering if the scholarships/grants you get from the CSS profile are available to me as a second year and so forth. Example would be if I were to commit to SCU and fill out my css profile for 2015-16 year, would I be able to get money?
Also, my other choice as of now is cal poly slo due to its cheap cost. I know that the business school is incomparable to SCU but I was wondering if I could get a bit of advice to what I should do in my college decision. SLO would be around 10 k in loans while SCU would be around 40. Any advice or comments would be great. Thank you.
SLO is an amazing school, especially for business. Have you made a decision now?
