I also am excited to hear about another audition MT program in the Southeast! We live in GA & our daugher is currently at the OCU Performing Arts Academy. She has already called telling us she loves the instruction, wants to study MT in college, but wants to stay closer to home. OK is quite the distance!
My question is this: Many schools adjacent to GA offer a tuition equalization grant, giving a GA resident in-state tuition (maybe corresponds to our Hope Scholarships?..My D is a rising Jr., so I am just beginning to get familiar with all this). Does CCU offer this or does the dept. have a hand-full of out-of-state tuition waivers for select students accepted into the MT program?

I have never heard of a tuition agreement with Georgia, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I'll do some checking on Monday.

In the end it probably doesn't matter. We have several scholarships to give out (well, actually, more than several.) For out of state students it is the equivalent to an out of state tuition waiver - we just don't call it that. Currently the scholarships are dependent on both talent and achieving minimum academic levels for the GPA and SAT or ACT. By the time your daughter auditions, we should have at least a few that are talent only.

If I can answer any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the information. I will be sure to contact you when we are ready to start school visits in a few months.
