<p>Is 30% of income, in 5 person family normal?
My sister attends to college that has no tuition fees [Poland :)], but she does live in our house, the second sister is 13yo.</p>
<p>First year at MIT will take a bit more than 30% of family income. I am scared :U. I do not know how to tell parents about that.</p>

<p>I did. I included this what I am able to earn here, and transport. I did not include computer, since I am going to obtain it by sponsoring. </p>
<p>The problem lies also in the structure of society. People after college here earns below average, so everyone needs money for start, that's why we have savings. But my parents' contribution will be greater than savings, if this rate will be the same for four years.</p>
