How is Wake at giving financial aid, both merit and need-based. The 50 + thousand sticker price is worrying me on whether I should apply or not.

anything at all?

What's the harm in applying? Yes, it will cost $50 to submit your app. But, in the end you'll have the exact answer you need about whether or not you can afford it.

Sitting on the internet asking strangers to speculate could drive you crazy.

run your numbers on collegeboard's website to estimate your family's efc. Then look at Wake's (and other colleges') common data sets to see how much financial need each one meets, and how much in loans. Then you at least will have some averages with which to compare.

Merit scholarships at ALL colleges are extremely competitive, and Wake is no exception.
