How much aid are you getting from Columbia? Or how much are you paying for Columbia?

Why? How much do your parent's make? Does it matter how much they have in the bank? How many siblings do you have in college?

I'm curious because my brother wants to apply for the school but my mom' skeptical about it because she doesn't want to pay so much for the school. It's only my mom working but she works at several hospital, so the pay isn't too low or too high.

How about asking a question that is tailored to elicit a response that might be helpful to you? You’re asking people to post a boatload of personal information, most of which may be totally irrelevant to what you really want to know.

These are all questions that can be best answered by a financial aid officer. You can find the contact info for Columbia’s financial aid officers on our website: [Columbia University in the City of New York](http://www.columbia.edu)

Alternatively, you can post in the Financial Aid section of the board instead of the Columbia board. You should take C02’s advice to heart: you’re not going to get any meaningful info by asking people to disclose their personal financial circumstances. Try asking broader questions like what goes into a financial aid calculation and how you can get your expected family contribution.

silverchris9, thank you so much!!! Thank was incredibly helpful!! My mom makes on the higher end, so I really didn’t think they’d give us any aid. I guess I was wrong. Thanks a lot!!! There is hope :D
