<p>Yes, Drexel will love your SATs and will offer you merit aid. How much? Who knows. They have a well known Co-op program with real life paid work experiences that can really help students who are struggling financially. Lots of CC members dis Drexel but I think they are worth keeping on your list.</p>
<p>You REALLY need to visit Drexel. We visited them because my wife attended there for two years. The cafeteria easily had the worst food among any campus that I have visited. It was even a visting parent's weekend, and the food was horrible. The cafeteria decor was dark and dingy.</p>
<p>The dorms were also rather old and dilapadated in looks. If you walk a couple of blocks away from Drexel, you get into some hard core inner city. I didn't get any warm furries for safety.</p>
<p>However, my wife did feel that Drexel gave her a good education. She just hated everything else about the school.</p>
<p>I agree that their food service was grim. Maybe it will be better after the remodel that was in progress when we visited. The dorm rooms we visited were bigger and in better condition than many we saw at other colleges. George Washington's dorms are pretty shabby and everyone sings their praises. What is that about? Now for the neighborhood rap. Are you kidding? It's across the street from University of Pennsylvania! There are lots of cute shops and cafes, decent public transportation, interesting ethnic shopping nearby, fancy stores a few blocks away. For students looking for a big city experience, the neighborhood seems right on target. You want to see a tough neighborhood, take a look at Temple or USC or University of Chicago!</p>
