I will be transferring to Emory in August and am really excited! But I have a question for all of you current students regarding financial aid. I know of Emory Advantage, I believe it's a great program, and I should qualify for it this year. But I will be 24 next year and considered an independent. So if I only do work-study and my EFC is 0, will I still be eligible? It only says dependent students whose families make below $100,000 are included. Does anyone know how it works for the independent student?

There is a lot of gray area concerning the Emory Advantage. You need to read the fine print. It is not an automatic award even if your family makes under the $100,000/year. Our family falls into that but did not receive the Emory Advantage.
