<p>Yeah, I freaked out when I saw this. 7000 dollars right after I registered for classes. Does financial aid not cover any of this? I just went off the estimated cost that UCSD gave me on my finaid report, which is much much less than 7000. Don’t really have that kind of money right now

<p>@california: registration fees are not determined by how many units you take. its a flat cost.
@andrew: administrative fees. whatever that is.</p>

<p>Okay, this may sound strange, but don’t freak about seeing a $7000 bill waiting to be paid. They usually put on charges before they give you your aid (especially with loans). If after all your aid is disbursed and you still have a huge charge, do freak out. </p>

<p>@paradise do you have any idea why students are being charged different amounts (ie: $5700 vs. $7000)?</p>
<p>it depends on if people have registered for classes yet. since the reg period hasnt ended, freshmen will continue to see different charge amounts until it does.</p>
