Financial options for a desperate screw-up

I'm in a big hole. I've been in college for a year and a half. My very first semester was rough because of the transition from high school, but I managed to pass my classes. My second semester was less than satisfactory. I wound up failing three classes and getting put on academic warning. My third semester I messed up again and didn't pass any of my classes and ended on academic probation with a 1.1 GPA. I'm ashamed of what I've done and want nothing more than to be able to fix my mistake, but now that I've gone in this deep I have no options to pay to go back. It's too late to try for a payment plan and I have no way to pay for my tuition. I'm out of options and I'm terrified of not being able to return and having to drop out. I don't want to be a failure anymore. Are there any financial options for someone like me? Please help if you can.

you will have to work, save some money and pay your way through school. with the academic probation over your head, you are most likely ineligible for financial aid

Before you dig a deeper hole, you need to go to a CC that is low cost.

Do you owe this school any money? if so, you’re going to have to pay this off.

WHY did you fail so many classes? Were you skipping class?

You should transfer to another university probably your community college for about 2 semesters and get your GPA up then transfer again to another university. When transfer dont include your transcripts from you first school.

Not including the transcripts from the first school is dishonest - the applications will ask for ALL previous college classes.

Speak with your advisor, you may be able to go to community college and then return to the same school - depending on the school policies, you may be able to either transfer some of the credits from the community college in, or even transfer back in, and reset your GPA. Check the rules at your specific school - they may also have an articulation agreement with specific community colleges, to make this easier. I can guarantee you’re not the first this has happened to at your school.

It is somewhat dishonest but they are not going to do a background search you checking for transcripts. In regards to prior attended universities they only know what you inofrm them of. I know other people who have done this on various ocassions.

^ Absolutely wrong tjr. ALL colleges check here for student info and prior colleges: [National Student Clearinghouse](http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/)

TJR don’t post bad info. You can impact someone’s life.

And there is no such thing as “somewhat dishonest”. You are either an honest person with ethics or you are not.

The real measure of someone’s character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

And TJR looking back on your posting history tells an interesting story.
