To all you ED people out there: My D's updated financial aid notice is posted online at the web status check page
https://webapps2.rice.edu/selfserve/swkalog.P_DispLoginNon

I'm guessing this is only for ED students?

it should be online for everyone now. im RD and its there. (and dang its good...)

Sigh... still no Aid and i'm an Ed-er...

everyone

0 need based aid. <200k custodial + non... :(

So if it says Total Package: 44,282 I don't have to pay anything to go?

my expected family contribution is more than my fafsa EFC....:( I got only about 24k per year. Can't afford the rest 23k

where exactly do i find this information

when you log in to your rice account thingy lol

You have to scroll down to the bottom.

So for National Merit Finalists - is the $1000/yr deducted from your grant? That part of the letter confused me.

accepted. but still cannot afford it. state school it is.

Good Good, now the wait listed might have a chance

Okay, so your FA letter mentioned your NMF award? Then mine can't be updated yet...

I'm really confused now. I got two scholarships, but Rice mentioned NOTHING about EFC other stating that "After a careful review of the items submitted, we have determined that you are not eligible for need-based financial aid." Am I looking at the wrong page? Or does this have anything to do with the fact that I kinda forgot to submit my FAFSA to Rice? (It says that it's missing...) Also, if I was a NMF, then how come it doesn't show up on the scholarship thing, either? Or did I have to list Rice as my first choice school in order to get the $1,000? Thanks for your help.

No... my original comment was a bit misleading. My letter just says something vague about how NMS have their awards deducted from the grant. I went to the list of merit scholarships available and found out that they give $1000/year for Finalists. I didn't know if that was what the letter was referring too, hence my post.

I got 0 =/

If you got merit awards, did it state that in your acceptance letter?

They still haven't received all my finaid stuff, so I'm really confused here because none of my stuff mentions money. Should I just assume I didn't get any merit aid at all?

^It mentions it in the financial aid letter which can be accessed online:

Financial Aid Requirements-->Financial Aid Award Letter (at the bottom)

Wow, I didn't even qualify for need-based aid? My EFC was not quite 40k?

what the..? i can't find anything. i see "financial aid" in blue, but there's no link connected to it. does that mean, i don't get any aid?
