Well, I would not be surprised, Brown is one of those schools that have the weirdest and whackiest selection process. I do not know why would you want to apply there unless you have a lot of cash to burn or you are like a celeb or Einstein or sometimes just an average joe. Do not be sad. I would have applied to Brown but because in recent years, no one in my school has gotten in except for one who I think paid to get in. it is like a taboo school in my high school. Other than that, I would say that your others are great and that you may have a good chance on all except the ivies which are bit of a reach.

Another question, are you asian? just wondering

Your profile is really impressive on the whole. When it comes to top schools it is always unpredictable to a degree. Im also applying to Brown, and when I visited it seemed to be a very eclectic and diverse atmosphere, meaning admissions is probably even more random too! Deferment is NOT the end of the world, you still have a chance in RD.

Brown (regular)- lower reach
Yale- reach, it is for everyone
Georgetown (international school)- match
Amherst- match
Dartmouth- lower reach.

Brown - they are so weird in their selection process but its an amazing school - hopefully youll get in RD?
Yale - flip of a coin
Gtown - match
Amherst - match (ish) - like Brown in selection process
Dartmouth - low reach

thanks everyone! and actually no, i dont know why i didn’t include that. im a typical white male. i mean…not typical lol. id like to think im slightly more interesting than that. but yeah, im a “caucasian male”

ummm, im applying to vassar and tufts (not safeties per se but less competitive than the ivies and such) and then a bunch of UC’s, where I’m more or less confident.

Brown (regular) - reach
Yale reach
Georgetown (international school) match
Amherst not sure but i know it’s a top liberal arts school. lowreach/match?
Dartmouth reach
all ivies are reach

AS long as you have applied to several UC’s that you feel good about I think you are fine. I do think you will get into a few of your more selective schools - but I have seen kids left with nothing when they apply to all highly selective colleges.
