Is UCSD your first choice? If so, why? What major? If not, where would you most want to go and Why?

yes/ major: undeclared...does this impact my admission negatively by putting in undeclared for ucsd?

nope..lots of applicants put undeclared and those that are declared...many of them end up changing their major anyways...that's what freshman year tends to do

Your major (or lack thereof) has no bearing on admissions except for a few impacted majors (Bioengineering and some Computer Science thingies).

applied as Econ/Int'l joint major. Alt major is Econ/Math joint.

but just wondering, if i decided to switch into engineering (i.e Mechanical/Structural), would it be rather difficult for me to do so?

Yes........

Nope-- it's tied with UCB for my third choice. My first choice is UCLA.

And major: Sociology.

VinWang, mechanical and structural engineering are not impacted.

yup. first choice. unless i somehow get into cal or ucla, i'm going ta this school. hopefully :P

major: biology gen.

1st choice: Davis
2nd choice: UCLA
3rd choice: UCSD

major:

computer engineering @ Davis and UCSD
electrical engineering @ UCLA

UCSD and UCLA are my top choices.

I want to major in History/Political Science.

1st choice: Davis (computer engineering)
2nd choice: UCSD (computer engineering)
3rd choice: UCLA (electrical engineering)

I love Davis and UCSD. :)

1st choice: UCSD (strong biological sciences program)- Biochemistry major
2nd choice: USC
3rd choice: UCSB

well... when i applied ucsd was my backup school...
and here i am...
i applied to the regulars like ucla, cal, uci, ucsd, etc etc
got in to cal but not ucla..
and i visited both schools and i just like it here way better... its funny how life plays out...

some random private school was my first choice but then they went and waitlsited me...

ucsd was like my 2nd or 3rd choice...i like it here though...not so much for the classes...but the people.

UCSD is my first choice because I live in San Diego, and I love the campus in La Jolla. Plus they have awesome science programs.
