First D on my transcript will I still have a chance of getting into BU, BC, NE ???

I’m a junior in high school and have done pretty well in school up to this point. I had one C for a quarter last year but I ended the year with a B+ after getting high scores and improving my grade throughout the year. My final scores from freshman to sophomore year have been nothing but mostly A’s and a few B’s. This year I went in with the mindset that I would be able to maintain, if not improve, my work ethic.

It is the first quarter of the year and I have gotten my first D- ever (was previously literally failing the class), which is in Pre-Calculus. I’m currently studying my butt off for my quarterly exam tomorrow for that class, and hopefully if I do well enough I will get a D. There are no chances of me bumping it up to at least a C :frowning:

All my other grades are average (I’m taking one AP and two honors classes, not enough I know) but this is the one I’m doing poorly in. I calculated that if I get high 90’s for the rest of the year in that class I will end with a B or B+. Will my Boston dream schools (and other schools I’m planning on going to) still give me a chance?

P.S. I took the November SATs two weeks ago so I don’t have my results yet.

I would consider switching classes if you can. Does your school offer an alternative to precalc better than getting a D. These colleges do not like to see Cs on report cards…Even if you got Bs your final grade you;d be a C.
