Hello everyone!
I left for St. Paul's ...2 days ago and I was FREAKING out. I had HUGE butterflies in my stomache the whole car trip and felt sick. You can check back to my earlier posts where even then I freaked out....but I was very excited too. I arrived and my big sister grabbed me and took me on a tour of campus...then we unloaded my stuff into my dorm and ate lunch with my parents. After my parents helped me make my bed (I know, I'm helpless) they said goodbye. There were definitely people who started crying, but for the most part everyone was excited. After our parents left we had house meetings and went over rules and things like that. Then had a "practice" seated meal-which was harry potter themed. After, we came back to our dorm-had another meeting, then went outside to have smores on a bonfire in our dorm heads garden. By the end of the night, I hadn't made many friends but I knew everyone in my dorm pretty well. The second day was full of frosh orientations and block classes, which may sound dull but were actually followed by a lot of free time where we could hang out with people we'd met. Everyone here is so accepting it's crazy...After we went to dinner we had a dance called nash bash which was insane and crowded but amazing.
OH and I met some felllow College Confidential...er's at the meet and greet at the rector's house, which was very fun. I'm friends with her daughter now!
Anyway you can basically skip that part-I just know if I was applying I'd like to read about things like that: but this is the more important part.
DON'T BE NERVOUS. I mean it's totally normal, everyone is, and you probs will be too BUT you WILL make friends. These schools make it impossible for you NOT too. The only way you WON'T make friends is if your mean and snooty, because that's not what boarding school's really about.
Just be yourself and you'll be fine. :) And good luck to the class of 2013! I hope you guys have less-stressful years then it seemed like we did and get into all your schools!!

haha congrats sailor chica :D
i've seen you on the threads so that's merits enough "communication" to say im seriously happy for you :P
