Hey guys, I was just wondering how Georgetown knows if an applicant is a first generation college student. Unlike the common app, the Georgetown app does not ask for parents’ education levels, so they definitely can’t know at least from that. If you look on their admissions webpage however, they provide a percentage of students that are first in their families to attend college. Does anyone know how this works? Thanks so much!
Georgetown’s application does indeed ask for parents’ occupation, employer, and level of education. You can see it on the PDF version of the application: https://georgetown.app.box.com/s/zzwxqe6w0czlspgnu8ol
@dzleprechaun thank you for that. i guess i overlooked that section, haha
