First impression of these colleges

Second post #19 100%.

Northeastern and Case should be your choices for Engineering. You can argue either is better there, as many have in this thread. Personally, I would advocate picking based off fit between those two, as they are very different schools.

Northeastern: Boston and co-op are the two big fit factors. If you want co-op / prefer it, NEU should be your pick - you won’t find a better program. If you don’t want co-op, you probably want Case.

Case: Very STEM-oriented, even more than NEU which has relative academic diversity. Will be a bit more academic or “nerdy” in feel. Has Cleveland which isn’t the middle of nowhere but is nowhere close to Boston.

Now that I know it is for engineering, I’m changing my rank
Case
NE
NYU

For biology, Case Western.

Oh, for engineering, Case > Northeastern. NYU, not at all.

Parent from the Northeast. I have been hiring and managing people for 20 years. They are all good schools, and where the person graduated from would have no bearing on whether or not I hired them. The biggest misconception people have is that their choice of college will somehow make them more worthy to potential employers than a candidate from another school. 99.99% of the time, where one has gone to college is irrelevant.

NYU engineering is in Brooklyn, not Greenwich Village.

Thanks guys, these have been really helpful, keep them coming!
And for those who dont read all the previous comments, THE MAJOR IS ENGINEERING
