First LSAT Diagnostic Test.

I am a freshman in 2nd semester, going to a college in the City.
I got a 1300 on my Math/CR on my SATs.
I took one of the 2003 LSAT Test, with no timed, and I ended up getting a 151.
What a BIG surprise...
For some reason, I did really well with Logical Reasoning, the one that with is this logical? flawed?, but did bad with reading sections and logic games.

How should I take this...? and how to practice the LSAT?

The City? You mean there’s only one?

(The only thing more annoying than the tendency of people from New York to use the term “the City”, or the tendency of people who went to HLS as “the Law School,” is the fact that we all know exactly what they mean.)

Now put down that practice LSAT book and do your homework. It will do wonders for your reading comprehension skills.

Seriously, you’re getting ahead of yourself by a couple of years.

Diagnostics mean nothing (especially if you took it cold). Take one of those LSAT cram courses and work your butt off. It’s not unusual for your score to go up 20+ points.

Take a course. I see no reason you couldn’t see 165, 170.

^Sounds a bit too positive there to say he’ll definitely reach 170. He said he took this test untimed. It could have been taken over the span of 3 days for all we know.

I’m not saying that. I said it’s happened before and unless you’re ■■■■■■■■, I don’t see any reason it can’t happen, assuming op took his diagnostic cold. So let’s discount by 5 points for time (assuming op did it in a reasonable amount of time). That puts him at 146. 146 to 170 has happened before, I don’t see any reason it can’t happen again.

I got a 155 on a diagnostic (test conditions, cold, with 2 hours of sleep) and Kaplan seems to be pretty damn (“absolutely”) sure I could see 175. But we all know that’s just a marketing ploy.

that is an absurd promise…proceed with caution!

Of course it’s absurd…I’ll wait to pass judgement until I see results. It’s one thing for a guy to tell me “I don’t see any reason you couldn’t improve to a 175 or even 180.” (translation: can happen) and it’s another for him to look me straight in the eye and tell me I will “absolutely” (translation: will happen) see a 175.

So if I take this class, and I don’t see anything near a 175, do I have a claim for promissory estoppel? jk lol :D
