<p>I am totally on Ravelry. Same name there as here. :)</p>
<p>I just finished a cardigan (my first steeked piece!), and I’m finishing the socks and trying to make a pair of mittens for myself before it gets cold here. (Poor knitter, gives all her mittens away and has no mittens left for herself…) I’m also getting ready to start a sweater for my collaborator in the lab – I promised him that if he joined the lab, I’d make him a sweater, and he picked a sport-weight stockinette sweater… it’s going to take forever. But at least I get to buy nice yarn for it.</p>

Oooo… steeks are scary. I haven’t had a chance to try those yet. Haha, that’s an interesting way to get someone to join you in your research. 
It works, though. There’s nothing like hand-knitted garments. So comfy and thoughtful!</p>

<p>That’s bizarre that you guessed my essay! I think MIT will really appreciate my use of sensory details, as I’m trying to demonstrate that I’m more than just a lab-geek science guy…</p>

<p>I explained how I volunteer at a local food bank, read stories to orphans, and walk old ladies across busy streets. Oh, and playing D&D.</p>
