Always my worst section... I'm just trying to get a 600 or so on that section, and hopefully a 650-700 on the other two sections. Anyone have any tips for those long 3 page passages as well?

I'm the type of person that reads a passage and completely forgets what it was about when I start reading the questions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Heyhey, I’m taking the SAT for the first time tomorrow as well Good luck!

The best thing for CR is actually to skip straight to the questions and only read those parts you need to answer the questions. If there are questions that ask for “Overall…” then make sure you don’t skim the passage too quickly, or you’ll have to waste precious time re-reading the passage.

Pace yourself. Don’t spend too long on a question, but don’t spend too little time on a question either. I’d say you check how much time you have left after each set of passage-related questions to see if you should be working faster or slower.

yea im taking for 2nd time tomorow

takin it first time as well, good luck, its really hard to prepare for it i would say just make sure u eat a good breakfast so ur focused when ur reading and ur mind doesn’t wander off

maybe look over some vocabulary that u dont know?

I would suggest to skim through the passage first - just to get an idea about the passage, then read the questions. I would absolutely answer the Vocab-in-context first since they are the easiest. It’s my first time taking the SAT too so GOOD LUCK TO YA ALL !!

Keep your opinion out of your choice and remember that the answer is ALWAYS in the passage, you just have to find it.

Answer the questions as you’re reading the passage(s). Most of the inquiries follow passage lines numerically. If you find a question about a whole passage or two passages, just skip it and return to it later(presuming it’s not at the end).

wow I have this same problem can’t even get 600
