First Semester Grades Senior Year

Hello, I am an RD applicant to Lehigh and was wondering what the impact are of first semester grades of senior year.
I did particularly well during my senior year while taking a very challenging curriculum. And although I know Lehigh does require first semester grades to be sent in, does it really have any impact? This question came up to me as I was checking my student portal, which said my application was complete even though I had not sent in my first semester grades yet. My grades by year throughout high school went 93->94->91->95 by year with the last number being my average for the first semester of senior year. It should be seen that in order to make up for this dip in my grades, I really want to be able to show off my senior year grades to show my downward trend was only for junior year (which I attempted to justify in my additional information section). Thank you in advance.

Are the closing arguments important in an attorney’s case? The answer is, ‘yes.’

Okay, that is good to hear! Also, in your opinion do you think my average is good enough to get accepted? I have solid extra-curriculars, my ACT is a 34, and I took about 7 AP’s over the course of my high school career. That dip I had junior year is definitely a negative on my application, but other than that do I have a good shot? I also visited and have emailed my admissions counselor on more than one occasion asking questions, which I hope demonstrated interest.

If those gpa averages are unweighted, then I would say you chances are excellent. If they are weighted, I would suspect that would mean a large number of non-A’s junior year…I would have to know the actual letter grades…straight B’s, even in AP’s may be more of a problem. Either way, I think you are in the mix.

It is unwieghted, I did get a B in AP Bio and BC Precalc, but have I have never gotten a B outside of those classes. So hopefully I am a strong contender.

I think you’ll get in.

There is not “BC Precalc” AP course…only AP BC Calc…at least as far as an admissions committee is concerned. Your scores are high enough that you should be okay. Keep checking the portal and contacting your admissions officer.
