Stats: ACT 34; SAT 760 CR, 680 M, 700 W; SAT 2s: all 790 (Math 2c, Physics, US History); GPA 3.7 (w) - no plus/minus grades until last semester, 92 out of 398 until school stopped ranking (due to "unhealthy competition for valedictorian"), high school ranked in top 500 (Newsweek?) for last 5 years. AP US History score: 5. Taking AP Chem, AP Calculus, AP Euro History senior year.

well, if your WEIGHTED gpa is 3.7 then your unweighted gpa is probably 3.5 or lower i'm assuming. you're ranking isnt all that great either. your ACT however is great!! so with this imbalance, i'd say forget the higher colleges like MIT and JHU and stuff, but you could def get in schools like Tufts, Case Western, RPI, and others :)

yeah I'm going to agree with the previous two posters

your GPA/class rank unfortunately doesn't give you much of a chance at your "dream schools", in my opinion.

that being said, they are (in addition to your fairly impressive standardized tests) enough for a good shot at a bunch of your others. My assessment is actually exactly the same as Gaffe's...

you should really elaborate on your ECs so that we can offer a better prediction, though. I mean if you're a tri-varsity athlete who founded an orphanage in tanzania, things would be a bit different :)

Knowlege Bowl (3rd in state competition, etc.) - 4 years, Math Olympiads including AMC12, Academic Letters, Honor Rolls, PSAT 217 so probable NMSF at least. A-Plus certification.
