<p>Lucky you, a junior in HS so you have plenty of time for schools to seek you out. Here's a thought- after April 1, (because they may be too busy to fill 2010 class until then) try talking to the admit offices of the schools that you think are reaches for you. You may be pleasantly surprised. Let them sell to you rather you sell to them. </p>

<p>There was a talented African American girl in son' s class. Smart like you. Schools flew her to their school at their expense.</p>

<p>Well, your class rank isn't that great, but you did say it's from one of the top schools in your state, so it isn't a disaster, and your other statistics are good to great. I agree with Bettina- look around, and if you find anyplace of interest with rolling admissions or a late deadline, apply!</p>
