First writing attempt

Hey everyone,

For the past 6 months I have mostly been working on Critical Reading as it is my weakness, the bane of my existence in fact. I work sparingly on math, here and there, because math comes easier. Now, for the first time, I tried 3 sections of writing, all 49 grammar questions. I got a 46/49 which was unexpected since English isn't exactly my area of excellence. So my question is, should I study for the grammar? Does it still pay off to practice all the tests?

I want the 800 like else, but, do you think its possible or could my score just be a fluke? I went with what sounded right and wrong and I got what I got.

Very good job the score. I suggest taking 2-3 more tests and if you are consistently performing well, then you shouldn't pay too much attention to studying for the writing section.

Ok, thanks,

Now, I guess I have to work on that 12 essay. How do you guys study for it, or do you?

"I went with what sounded right and wrong and I got what I got."

-you can't always rely on that. study grammar.

I guess it would be safe to just study the grammar. But whenever I open up the writing section in any SAT book, the grammar seems all obvious.

but brushing up on it is definitely useful. also, do a lot of practice and become familiar with the types of mistakes they test for. I doubt you can get an 800 if you get more than 1-2 questions wrong.
