I registered my son and a friend (parents out-of-town) for fish camp this morning (the kids are still in school this week). I only specified one session - which was shown as available. I thought that was great, but now a friend tells me that they still may not get in. It's one of the later sessions ("F") and many kids who do other A&M camps/activities can only get in that one so they may bump us.

Does this normally happen? Seems like since it showed available and I chose it that the kids should get in for sure...but maybe not?

Isn’t this the first day available to register for one? I think your son & friend will definitely get in.

Yes…started at 9am…my son’s receipt is from 9:11, but the site was super-slow and took forever for me to login as the friend. That one is from around 9:30.

I have no idea if these sessions take 50 people or 500 people… does anyone know?

ok so i registered today at 945 which is less than 1 hour after it opened. i only put down one session
should i go back now and put down two sessions so i get to go? or do i have a pretty good chance now?

you will get it its all based on when you registered and each session encompasses a little more then 700 kids. and normally the last two sessions never fill up.

CantTouchThis: Really??? How do you know all this? That is good to hear.
I did call and they said we shouldn’t have a problem if we signed up early…but they couldn’t promise me anything.

oh wow thanks guys! this makes me feel tons better!

"normally the last two sessions never fill up. "

That seems odd since session F is the one that lets you move in early. Seems like that one would fill up.

Will they send some kind of confirmation?

they send you a confirmation that says you paid almost immediately and then you find out what session you are in on july 6th

Thanks for this thread. I signed up for session F, but if I dont get in I probably just can’t do Fish Camp… I live in Florida so travelling is expensive. Ah well, I can hope.
