@sarahdipity It happened to me a little while ago. It’s nothing to worry about. The site may have just been acting up, or being worked on. It allowed me to sign in shortly after. I love your Instagram account, by the way.
@Virgo25AD Okay, thank you! I will try it in a little bit:) lol thank you! I like yours too
When I go to the site map from the application status tab, nothing pops up, it says “This page is not enabled for current user role(s).” what does this mean?
I am trying to check to see if my coa has been updated, but I can’t get through to it
@Virgo25AD For all the effort you have put in to this site, you deserve to be admitted! As a parent of an applicant who is on eggshells waiting for the letter to arrive, I hope you’re right about the COA stuff. Her COA did change on Friday, hoping this is a good sign…I agree that it seems silly that the school would change this if they had no intentions of admitting the student, but how can we be completely sure?
Curious, has anyone here applied to FIT late?
@Riri54 Thank you for the kind words; it’s much appreciated. To answer your question: I went back and looked at prior discussion threads from past years, and students who had their COA change all received acceptance letters shortly after. I’ve never heard/seen a post about a student whose COA changed but didn’t receive admittance to FIT. I spoke directly with a girl today from last year’s thread, and she also stated that she’s fairly certain your COA changing means your application was reviewed and that you were granted acceptance to FIT. Her COA was actually late to change (April it changed for her), but when it finally did – she received her letter the very next day. Anybody on last year’s thread who used their actually name and talked about their COA, I just googled their name and FIT, discovering that they were all now current students at the school. I can’t say anything is 100% certain – nobody can – but I’d be willing to say I’m 99% positive they wouldn’t go through the hassle of financial information, calculating every single applicants’ personal needs, when they’re no doubt receiving an unmanageable amount of applications to do that for students they’re going to reject, given the popularity and stature of the school.
wow, I would definitely say that’s is a good sign… nothing like that popped up for me. @Lexi4500
@Virgo25AD Your argument certainly makes sense! I am staying hopeful…we are in CA, so it might take a few days for mail to arrive via USPS, depending on when something might have been sent. I have looked at every page of the portal and have done so since her application was complete in Oct of 2016. It is encouraging to see that things have been updated.
hey everyone !! its my first year applying and this has been my dream school since i was in 7th grade. I have the class search and all that but my COA is still $0. I’m so nervous this is my dream school. But it does have an amount for estimated family contribution, does anyone know what this means? please help I’m freaking out!!
i just read they got the rest of my requirements for the fasfa on march 6th, so maybe thats why my cost hasn’t showed up yet but the family contribution has, is this a good sign?? i really hope so
also back in February i had to call admission because the said my application wasn’t done but i finished way back in November, when i called, the lady said that must’ve been an accident because she said she has everything right in front of her, then she asked if i was going to take ap classes in the fall because i take an ap art class in high school right now and i told her no and she said to let fit know i won’t be taking those courses… is that also a good sign?? someone give me feedback i need to relax I’m so nervous…
This is torture! My daughter doesn’t even have COA show up. I am wondering if it is because we did not fill out a FAFSA? The only thing that shows up is that she is in good standing (she took precollege courses last year that are all done and paid for).

@livvygirl Eveything will be all right. There are some aspects of people’s portals that are slow to update. Your estimated family contribution is based off of financial information they’ve gathered from you. Your COA infers that you’ll be going there and lays out what it is that, you specifically, will be paying for tutition, housing, books, etc. Since COA differs and is based on a variety of factors from student to student, this is why it’s a strong indication you’ve been admitted when it shows up: FIT gets a ton of applications, so for them to caculate every single applicants COA, even the ones they’ll reject, is not feasible. The amount of time (wasted time) that would take would be ineffecient for the whole applicant-review process. If you have a good grades (3.0 and above) and took the time to produce a well-written, articulate essay that disseminates your charteristics, goals and overall talents you’ll bring to FIT – I’d say you’re well on your way to being there in the fall.
Hey guys i’ve noticed that after my cost of attendance changed from $0, my class search option has changed from choosing “FALL 2017(view only)” to just “FALL 2017.” I feel like this could be another piece of evidence for @Virgo25AD 's claim! + has anyone that does not have their COA changed have this feature as well?
@pinkmomagain i actually didn’t apply for fafsa, but my COA still changed!
Hi, are there any international students who have access to their COA, or have seen/received something indicating acceptance yet?
@Larriealumni - Thanks for very much for this info! There just isn’t any COA for my daughter at all. Like not even $0 – COA is just not an option. So maybe that relates to info that is already populated in the system from her precollege courses that are linked up to her MyFIT along with application. Guess it’s just a waiting game still…
i wrote my whole heart into that essay and my grades werent bad either, im just so nervous i check every single day! so should the family contribution thing not get my hopes up??
