FIT Fall 2017 Applications

Hi! I got in into the FB 2 AAS. I’m not a traditional student (am International Applicant). Changed college two times and later came last august to take english courses at FIT. Applied for spring but was waitlisted and later forward the application for fall. Got my letter yesterday and I’m from the NY area. In the system my COA never changed, and never could check my financial checklist. My portal was updated to the Resources thing as well as had transfer credits already set before I knew the decision. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Our postal service only comes once a week on Tuesday so we’ll have to wait until next Tuesday to see if we got mai

I just called up admissions and they said my letter has been sent out. I’m an international student too. I received no tracking number. I guess we just have to wait.

My daughter didn’t get in. She applied for FBM. Is there any transfer students who got denied last year have any advice for her?? Should she take core classes at the community college and reapply for the spring? Is it easier as a transfer?? I’d love to read some essays of students were accepted. My email is dizydee@aol.com. She is so upset but she won’t give up.

I just got into the EOP program!! Does anyone know if theres a summer program or any info on the program?

Hello! I received my letter today (applied for AMC). According to the letter, I am among a “select group of outstanding applicants.” My letter is dated as March 24, 2017, and I am from the midwest area. Super excited! It seems like those living in the west are going to receive their letters last? Since many of the first reported acceptances were for those living in New York…

How was your eop process ??? They keep asking for me to send in more requirements after fulfilling the others, and now my financial aid is at the review stage

Ig I have to wait longer

@dizydee I would suggest taking classes at a community college in core liberal arts classes. That’s what I did…well I earned my associate’s and transferred in with 63 credits. I think 30 credits is the minimum to transfer into the 1 year AAS programs. For the 2 year there’s no minimum so she could do a semester (year would probably be better).

@MaryannGolokeh I had to send in a bunch of documents! They’re still waiting to receive one of them. I called and they told me it wouldn’t affect my admissions decision just to get them the documents ASAP!

Is anyone else FIT portal not working after getting accepted?

@Pankobreading thank you so much. Can we read your essay?? Would you mind? My email is dizydee@aol.com. Thank you!!

For anyone that didn’t get accepted, taking more classes will help but also make sure to have a strong essay. I think that’s what helped me because I only took a few college courses but didn’t transfer anything…i graduated high school in 2015… and make sure the essay tells why you want to get into fit, what you plan on doing at fit, and what kind of benefit you would be to the school… less about yourself. .

@dizydee what’s the email? It’s coming up with asterisks (*)

I feel that my essay really helped me. I had a 3.2 GPA at my college, but I did take some tough classes and took 4 semesters of Japanese. My essay theme was about life lessons. I feel that my essay was pretty much a summary of my academic and personal life. Lol

My transcripts definitely showed an upward trend in my grades and my essay went into detail to describe that. I honestly put my soul, blood, sweat, and tears into it.

@nand99 same thing too , and then I called back and someone else said because I’m eop my admissions would be delayed , they received everything yesterday, I even got a letter two weeks ago stating my application cannot be processed if I don’t get my papers in

@MaryannGolokeh how strange , im sure you’ll get it soon because admissions and financial aid are two completely different things so one shouldn’t affect the other!

@nand99 the wait is killing me hopefully I get something tomorrow , I only like 30 mins away from the city so Idk what’s taking so long

Im an international applicant from Korea applied for 2yr aas jewelry design and I got the email with DHL tracking number! So excited
