@mollyk42, I wouldn’t go to much on financial aid saying being processed. Mine has said that since January. @Mrc1996 and @chloedechambeau I got the same email.
I also got the eop email
I got the message too, but it seems like it was just an automated message.
Was checking my emails earlier and nearly had a heart attack when I saw FIT Office of Admissions sent me something…nope just the open house. lol I need to know!!
It was just a tease, you know – a message to get your hopes and then slowly crush your soul. Dramatic? Yes, but somewhat truthful lol.
I swear I got so nervous and excited at the same time when I saw the email and it turned out to be that invitation
My email wouldn’t load so I only saw that it was from the FIT Admissions Office. I sat there for 3 minutes waiting for the actual contents of the email to load, thinking it was my decision. Most stressful 3 minutes of my life
I’m in agony waiting to hear back. I was waitlisted to my number 1 choice Chapman University in Orange California. So I’m chomping at the bit to hear from FIT!!!
guys! acceptance letters start coming out from the 16th! hold on tight we are almost there
I’m so nervous ;/
@ALOHAAA Wait – how do you know they start coming out the 16th!?
@Virgo25AD if you look at the dates of the acceptance letters from the past it is dated as 16th-23rd. The mailing ± a week. But most international students (like me) get their acceptances via email (as an admissions’ officer said).
@ALOHAAA I’m going to take a guess and assume they’re going to accept me, considering the documents they just asked of me on Friday for financial aid purposes because I’m a non-traditional student. Otherwise, it kind of seems pointless to request that kind of information if you plan on rejecting the applicant. Who knows, though? They could just be playing Jedi mind tricks on me.
Has FIT contacted any one else recently?
Did anyone else’s financial aid information change? The cost of attendance showed up, EFC, and estimated need based aid popped up.
@Pankobreading Is that the info that you’re getting from the site map? Ugh mine doesn’t even work
lol So was just on the phone with FIT: she said there are no signs to tell if you have been admitted and the letter will go out on or after April 1.
@aurorasbluedress Yeah I emailed them today. They told me the same thing ugh.
@aurorasbluedress Just so you all know, admissions has to say that, but it’s kind of a dead giveaway that you’ve gotten in if you can see your estimated cost of attendance completed. Mine just changed from $0 today to the full amount of what they project it’s going to cost for me to attend FIT. Here’s the catch and why I know for a fact it means you’ve gotten in: I’m a nontraditional student, so they require more documentation for me to receive financial aid than a regular undergrad would. They filled out my cost of attendance today online, and emailed me saying they would be mailing me supporting documents for me to fill out for my financial situation. They would NOT do all that if they hadn’t looked over your application and determined that you would be accepted into the school. I also know they look over your actual essay and transcripts before they determine all your financial aid information because an admissions counselor emailed me, saying that I was missing a document for my application, but then she backtracked and said she made a mistake and that everything was there and all set. And from all the other forums I’ve read from years past, no kid has ever gotten rejected after their cost of attendance had been determined online. It usually coincides right around the with when you receive your letter, but some students see it first.
My cost of attendance was also updated, I’m so excited to attend FIT !
