how prominent are the 5 yr. mba programs that some schools offer to undergrads seeking an instant degree? could anyone really elaborate on this if they know about this or know someone who has done this

pros: you skip 1 year of mba schooling and thus saving lots of money.

cons: you lose out on work experience which may hurt you when you are being recruited. However you will recruit better than the undergrads at your school so this isnt really a con at all.

imo if its a top top school, go for it. Otherwise you might be better off holding out for something better. At least you know you can go back to that schools MBA program for the most part if you were admitted to their 5 year mba program (which is harder to place into than regular MBA program).
