It seems like Yale College's requirements are pretty standard liberal arts, so there's automatically some freedom.
But, I really don't know what I want to do, have a lot of interests, and want to be able to explore. For example, I don't plan on being an art major (it's a possibility, but unlikely), but I want to be able to take some art classes. Is Yale a bad choice for someone who wants a lot of exploration?

I think so, absolutely. That's one of the things I love about Yale (as I am also a very very very undecided person). Distributional requirements at Yale allow a lot of freedom, while keeping you a bit focused and making sure you get some sort of core curriculum and don't go off on a tangent (unlike at Brown). So I think it's great for exploration and opportunity. And with over, what, 2000 classes per year to choose from, there's room for exploration. They want you to find yourself, so they aren't going to limit you.
Choose Yale. It's the best. :)
