When the Hough Graduate School of Business is complete we should easily be ranked in the Top-25.

Then we will have Engineering & Business (UF also had Education, but our ranking dropped heavily when US News stopped using expenditures for the "UF-owned & operated" Pk Yonge Research School).

Tom...FYI...your list needs some editing...you repeat 8-50 after the first fifty for some reason.

Ya, boneeaded move on my part, I'll fix soon!

Good evening WPMBA students – I wanted to send a brief update on the Hough Hall construction progress and parking lot impacts. At this time, the construction fence and trailers are in place and the site has been cleared down to dirt, and lots of it. If you’re interested in watching the progress, here is a link to the webcam that’s been installed. Enjoy watching the daily progress from the comfort and quiet of your own home. J

Finally, for those of you that come to campus for classes, you’re probably wondering where you’ll park now. I’ve attached a map of nearby parking options. In addition, John Gresley will include this map with all future “Welcome Back” emails.

Building completion in 2010 is a long way away, but I hope that you all are as excited about this progress as we are! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Subject: Hough Hall update - Construction officially begins Dec 22!

WPMBA students & recent graduates:

After 18+ months of planning, designing, and fundraising, I am pleased to announce that construction on Hough Hall, the future home of the UFMBA program, officially begins December 22nd. The building design process (inside and out) is complete, and the project is now moving from design to construction phase. I’ve attached a couple of pictures of the Hough Hall building model that was presented at our last building committee design meeting (see below). The 1st photo shows the location of Hough Hall: due south of Stuzin Hall and Bryan Hall and east of Criser Hall.

On your next visit to campus, you should see visible signs of construction in progress! Here is some timeline information:

Construction begins: December 22, 2008

Official “groundbreaking ceremony: Feb 20 or 21st

Construction timeline: 16 months

We are hoping that we will be able to start moving into Hough Hall in May/June 2010, with classes in Hough Hall as early as August 2010 (with an outside shot of July 2010).

As many of you have heard previously, this is an incredible advancement for our MBA program and our brand on many levels. It will be very exciting to see that advancement take shape…starting December 22nd. For those interested in learning more about the project, you can visit the Hough Hall project website at: UF - Facilities Planning & Construction . Click on project pages, then design, and find UF206 (Graduate Studies Building – Hough Hall).

If you have any questions about any aspect of the Hough Hall project, you can also reach out to me directly, either via email or phone (273-3252).

Thank you and Happy Holidays to you and your families! AlexS
