Flunked my first semester in a Community College with 1.04GPA, what should I do now?

So I am taking a CIS-Computer Programming AS degree in a Community College in Los Angles area, and good lord I just find that I am love writing code! turns out my focuse is completely wrong.
I was so in to programming and I am thinking about ideas and writing my code all the time except when I am sleeping. I was too focused on my own project and paid almost no attention to my school work. In my college algebra class I missed about 90% of assiment and skiped final becouse I was busy debugging my own project. In total I skiped 2 final. I only passed 1 out of 4 class, it was Meterology,3credite with an A.

I know I am flunked, on a acadmic probation and the college put my class regerstration date to the first day of the spring semster, I am not sure if this is becouse my insane looking grade.
I know I am cableable of the class I choseed but I didn’t put any effert in it. I have taken trig in HighSchool and studied into Calculus outside school. In little over a year I come from knowing nothing about computer programming to now, I am self developing a median size game, and almost all of those programming knowlege I taught myself.

What I am thinking is, for this spring semster I am take few elective/easier class in this CC and at same time taking some other class in an other CC, to make sure I am still going with education and pull out of the probation, make sure I do pay some attention to course work. But can you enroll in a Community College onece the semster have started or near start?

Any other ways can help me out here?

At some point you should re-take the classes you messed up otherwise they will be on your record forever

I would not give yourself more time-management challenges (like attending classes at two schools) while you’re trying to get your GPA up.

You didn’t have enough attention span to show up for finals at one community college so to fix it you’re going to enroll in two schools? Your plan makes no sense. If anything, enrolling in two schools simultaneously makes it harder to get good grades not easier.

If you want to write games instead of turning in your homework, it really doesn’t matter how easy or hard the classes are or what school you take them at.

Be honest with yourself. What are you trying to accomplish? Do you really want to be in school?

I don’t think you can enroll in 2 colleges at once unless you have approval from both for a cross registration program. Usually, you need a minimum GPA to qualify for those programs.

You mentioned once that your main language is Chinese, but you’re a US citizen, right? You’re paying in state rates for the CA community colleges? If you’re geting need based grants, you won’t qualify if you haven’t made satisfactory academic progress.

I think you need to take a break and refocus. You can’t just do the coursework that interests you – it’s important to do all of it. How long have you been studying English? Have you passed freshman English yet? It doesn’t sound like it. If I were you, I’d spend a semester working on my spelling and grammar. Set up a time to work everyday and see if you can keep a schedule for an entire semester. If you can, maybe retake a course or two next fall and see if you can keep up. I’d suggest English and math. Don’t take another programming class until you have the discipline to attend every class (not just the fun ones), complete all your work, and show up for every exam.

Retake the classes you failed - your college classes are entered in a college clearinghouse and will follow you your whole life. Retaking and doing better means our record is 'repaired '. Take one programming class and the three classes you failed. When choosing a class, prioritize Remedial English.
Turn in all your work. Look at the dates papers are due and work backwards ( say a paper or assignment is due February 23, book a tutor or writing center for February 22, your paper must be finished February 21, meaning outline must be done by February 14 and office hours/appointment with professor must be taken for February 14-17. )

You need to see a counselor as you have some type of serious time management/executive function disorder. It’s not normal to simply “miss” two finals because you were engrossed in writing code. The ability to focus on something to the degree you have been doing is great and something that you can harness to your advantage, but truly you must get yourself so that you can function in a reasonably normal manner.

Even if you think I’m full of baloney, it can’t hurt to talk to someone.
