FLVS: Summer before 9th Grade- Overview

Hey, I’m starting high school next year and I’m planning on taking the following FLVS courses. I’m planning on going into the IB program (if I get accepted†) just to do the impossible1 :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, can you tell me how these courses went and give a little overview. Suggestions welcomed!

-Fitness Lifestyle Design
-Anatomy & Physiology Honors
-Life Management Skills
-Leadership Skills Development
-Music of the World
-Social Media 1
-Law Studies
-Earth-Space Science Honors
-Peer Counseling 1
-Foundations of Web Design Honors
-Latins 1

THANKS!!!

You need to get a math in there. Most colleges require 3-4 years of it.

I toke Algebra 1 Honors in 7th grade, & I’m taking Geometry Honors now. Plush, since I’m in going to † the IB program (hopefully), Im required to take math all four years. And I STRONGLY DISLIKE math. So hopefully it’ll be enough

  • Fitness Lifestyle Design - I don't know if they require a wristwatch monitor, but they didn't when I took it. It was easy. Totally beat taking a gym class in school and wasting a class period.
  • Latin 1 - I intended to complete it in the summer, but I worked through semester one as well. The class covers Latin grammar (declensions, conjugations, translations, etc.), vocabulary, and history. It can be a little difficult because the grammar is different, but Latin 2 is a lot easier since you'll have a significant background. You'd probably get frustrated unless you get it right away (which I didn't), but I don't personally regret taking it.

so you’re taking hon alg 2 freshmen year right?

@Decepters‌ Yep :neutral_face:

@awakeningvenus‌ How long did Fitness Lifestyle Design take? I really love learning different languages, will it be easier for me to after taking Latin?

@what2dowithlife‌ I finished Fitness Lifestyle Design before summer let out, I believe. And with Latin, you’ll learn roots, which will help with Romanic languages. The grammar is pretty unique though.
