yes all of them on campus take dining dollars (except for upscale things like university club, but don’t worry about that lol. you’ll never eat there unless it’s with a faculty member or something)

Yeah, no In-N-Out’s that are close. But people are always driving to get it. And have never heard of Kabab Place, but I don’t think there’s one near USC.

Oh, and blanking out on the name, so maybe Georgia Girl can help with it, but there’s the athlete’s dining hall (near Annenberg). Have never been there, but I’ve heard it’s suppose to be some of the best food on campus, but it’s only open to non-athletes for lunch. Athletes can go at any time. They only take cash and discresh as far as I’m aware.

^ seems so. I’m going to buy those big family packs of cereal from costco and keep my fridge stocked with milk.
My calc teacher advised us to bring tupperware to the dining halls and stock up :P

extra meals at the end of the semester go to waste (i know, it sucks). and to be honest i guarantee that you will end up with extra meals at the end. my friends all ended up with 30-60 leftover meals at the end of the semester. the reason why is because you end up eating out with friends, sometimes you order delivery because you’re sick of EVK, or you use your dining dollars on the various eateries around campus.

i just finished my freshman year and honestly the cardinal meal plan gives you more than enough meals with 10 meals a week. i know, it sounds like you’re going to starve but you’ll soon realize that you quickly get sick of the dining hall food and want to eat elsewhere. i ended the first semester with 40ish meals leftover and this semester with close to 70. and no im not anorexic or anything, i eat regular meals like a normal person. i can almost guarantee you wont eat breakfast in the dining hall except maybe a late brunch around 12 on the weekends. so elimante 5 or 6 meals there. a few days a week you’ll eat lunch in you’re room or grab something at one of the cafe places on campus/the new student center.
with cardinal, you get 500 dining dollars a week. its really easy to blow through the dining dollars, much more so than the meals. budget for about 30 dining dollars a week and you’ll have enough to get you through the semester. gold gives you 700 dining dollars i believe.
trojan is the highest plan and its all dining dollars, about 2800 dining dollars i believe. if you want to eat in the dining hall its $12.50 in dining dollars (which is a rip off, you won’t eat that much worth of food.). if you eat A LOT and i’m talking like football player boy who eats 5 meals a day, then this might be a worthy investment. its pricier but can be worth it if you’re just gonna blow through the dining dollars in a few weeks. if you eat like a normal person, its impossible to go through all of this. THEREFORE, i advise you to find people who have trojan plan and BECOME THEIR BEST FRIEND!!! especially at the end of the semester when you’re out of dollars and they still have a thousand and need to spend all of their money you’ll be sick of evk at that point
by the way, evk is the main freshman dining hall that everyone goes to unless you live in parkside, in which case you mainly eat at the parkside dining hall. evk is gross. you will quickly learn this. but its close and convenient for most freshman in the dorms so you’ll eat there anyway. it’ll be good for the first month, and then you’ll be sick of it and this is when you will start to blow through your dining dollars. if at any point you’re out of dining dollars, your parents can put discretionary $ onto your usc card, which can be used at any dining facility on campus. it can also be used at the drug store, post office, book store, and the restaurants on fig next to the radidison.
any other questions?
