Foot Locker Scholar Athlete Scholarship - Anyone heard anything?

Hi There, I’m posting for my daughter. She applied for this scholarship and online it said they would let everyone know at the end of January. if you were a semi-finalist. Now, we can’t find where it said that. After reading some posts from previous years… they seem to take longer that they originally say and they don’t let everyone who didn’t win, know till April.

She emailed them and they wrote back saying, “We’re in the process of reaching out to our semi-finalists on a rolling basis, based on interview availability and as we determine who all the 50 will be. We will keep everyone informed once decisions have been made.” That was on January 30th.

I was just wondering if anyone knows anyone who has already been contacted. Thanks. :slight_smile:

Received email on the 31st to sign up for interview via Skyp or Google hangout.

Basically it said your one of fifty selected as semifinalists out of 13k plus.

They are very secretive and never give any contact information. The email address is a no reply. My day is coming so I’ll keep you posted.

Congratulations! And thank you for the information. I’m assuming this means my daughter wasn’t one of the 50 since she never received anything. I wish you the best on your interview.

My daughter is one of the semi-finalists .she her Skype interview is today at 6pm. I hope she gets it.

She was notified on jan 31.

@Purdue4mykids good luck to her! I would ask how it was, but it would be unfair so we will compare notes next weekend.

@iitro11 thanks!!! Her interview went Ok. It was about 20 minutes long. They basically asked her same questions what was in the application about leadership skills and such. Best Good luck to you!!!

@nirto11 @scout 2017 my daughter got an email today they asked her to send her picture for the final judgment. Did anyone else get this email?

@blessingstoall no she still hasn’t heard anything back yet. There more than 10 winner have been announced. Were you one of the semi finalists and if yes were you asked to send them your pictures after the Skype interview. I am still hoping to hear. She did win Ronald McDonald $5000.
