in wharton, how do they usually fare? do they do well at all? and do they end up being recruited by the biggest IB firms? if anyone can give me a real account of this that would be appreciated.

Why wouldn't they be well-recruited? Not only is the athlete alumni network on Wall Street very strong, but it's a great extracurricular to have -- shows discipline, teamwork, time management skills, etc...

Get above a 3.3 and a football player shouldn't have too much trouble netting at least a couple interviews. Don't forget to tap the alumni network -- I know of a few football players on Wall Street now, and I'm sure if you asked the coaches or teammates they'd know.

It depends on how good a student you are. To maintain a 3.3 GPA at Wharton, you need to have great time management skills if you play football since daily practice and playing away games suck up your free time in the fall semester.
