I’m wondering on how tickets are done for the home football games. I’m looking to get 2 extra tickets for some friends visiting that day. I know it’s long way off, but I’d like to know how the system works.

It’s for the Wyoming game in October.

Several options:

Buy on-line.
Walk-up window at the Falcon Athletic Center - right next door to the Field House.
Day of game (shouldn’t be a sell out).

packermatt - if I remember correctly, single ticket purchases for any home games, non-season tickets, will not be available for purchase until about the July 1st or so time frame. Keep checking around that time period. The Athletic Center will post the opening day for purchasing tickets and then you can buy anytime after that.

Do cadets buy tickets for the student section? Do cadets have to sit there?

Nope, we sit there for free (all home games are free for cadets for every sport). Technically yes, we sit there, and that’s where you will head after the lower two classes march on. However, there’s no one making sure you sit there, so you can sit with your parents/friends once you get to the stands.

football tickets are lumped into one some of “sports tickets” which each cadet pays each year. it’s taken automatically out of your pay so you never really see it, but yes we pay for those seats.

as for during the games, either just firsties or just the upper two classes are allowed to go sit outside of the cadet section. otherwise its madnatory you stay there the entire game. sometimes it is enforced, other times it isn’t, but you’re still supposed to. plus, it’s really a lot of fun if you get into it

Ok. I’ll just have to meet them before or after the game.

take them to your tailgate.
i know my squad has awesome tailgates (they seriously go all out. it’s amazing), but they’re a lot of fun. and you have to go anyway, so you might as well bring your parents.

Tailgating is awesome at AF Football…
