What kind of textbooks did you use for those subjects? Did you buy those books online or did you buy them from somewhere else? What other materials do you need?

I am currently taking AP Bio, AP Language and Composition, and AP US History. Next year, I'm probably taking Calculus AB, Eng. Literature and Composition, and Macroeconomics. My school doesn't offer that many AP courses and there's a limit on how many I can fit into my roster.

I'm interested in self-studying for some of these subjects: Calculus BC, Environmental Science, Psychology, Chinese, French, European History, and Computer Science A.

I'm self-studying a few of those right now. If you are familiar with the subject, it's usually only necessary to buy a good prep book (1Princeton Review , 2Barron's, 3Cliff Notes, etc.) online. I usually order through Amazon. If it is a topic completely new to you, then buying a textbook is a good idea also. Look into what textbook nearby schools use for that subject, and purchase online, either through a mass company like Amazon (which I recommend if you can find what you need) or from a textbook speciality, like abebooks.

Good Luck! :)

I just bought prep books from Barnes & Nobles. I can't remember which ones I got, exactly, but I am sure they were either Princeton Review or Barron's.

What sort of textbooks should I buy? My local schools don't even list the ones that they use for AP.

buy off amazon.
barrons for psychology.

I take a bunch of classes online because my school doesn't have much of an AP program, and I take it through Wisconsin Virtual School and Aventa Learning. The list of required text books is listed on this link by the course. Aventa Learning
