For all of us that got rejected, and hell, everyone!

Lets go out and have a fun weekend. We have to remember that just having a shot at getting into MIT is a huge accomplishment in itself and as long as we continue to excel academically and go the extra mile, we will all end up successful wherever we end up in the fall.
Personally, I only applied to 4 schools and only considered going to 3 of them, so to be rejected at one lowers my options significantly. But I realize that regardless of where I end up, college is going to be the best time of my life.

So to all of us that weren't lucky enough to make the cut, lets go out and celebrate anyways because we have worked so hard to get to this point and our efforts will be put to good use at a different school! MIT rejection isn't the end of the world guys!

bleh ..................

yea, it sucks but think about how awesome it will feel in the fall when you walk into your first class...

well. At least I know that I'll be having some leisure time this last semester, as I'm not going to worry about my classes at all anymore. Bs, here we go.

Aah, endersadvocate, you posted before me :)

Anyone know how to delete a thread you created? Or combine them? No need for there to be two posts of similar meanings, after all.

My message:

Hey, everyone!

So, we were rejected. Punch a wall (not recommended), scream into a pillow (highly recommended), curse MIT out (no one's going to hold it against you if you say "F*** you"), bawl like a baby, or raise an eyebrow at the decision window and exit out of it.

We loved you, MIT, be it from the bottom of our hearts or through rose-tinted glasses. Like many others, you were my first choice, and I believed for a little while that we were made for each other.

Now, we wash our hands of you (unless some of us decide to drop by for grad school), and move on with our lives. After all, our lives are only just beginning, and letting the rejection of this tech school ruin our fun is, no offense, kind of stupid!

My most sincere congratulations to the admitted. Go show MIT what this generation's all about! Prove to us that you deserve to be there instead of us.

But, please, excuse me; I have other fish to fry now. (Columbia! <3)

its all good... congrats to all those who got in. You are all gonna have hellish 4 years lol

I am sure we will not be in an easier situation. I know that even if i go to University of Florida, I am going to take one hell of a schedule.

Dude, we'll be part of the "MAX OUT OUR SCHEDULES" club!

4 years later let's unite here again for MIT grad!!

I'm currently singing "Columbia Cornell Carnegie Mellon" ...Its a great song I wrote it myself :P:P

Anyway I think more than anything I just want to go to College..and I want to get out of school...the lyrics of my song will change for some of you but keep singing!!

(Shh... don't tell anyone, but I'm actually happy that I got rejected. MIT used to be my first choice school, but since getting into UChicago EA, I've really really really fallen in love with it. So, don't despair. Your perfect school is still out there. Seriously.)
