How did you read the book? Did you take notes while reading? What did you do to help you memorize the information while reading?

msmalik428 I am just going to add…

How similar where the free-response questions in Cliffs to the real thing and is the lab section of the book good enough or do I have to do real hand-on labwork?

Thanks

it’s a bit late to do hands-on labwork now but having done so would just make the ideas clearer. to me, the cliffs section seems ADEQUATE. beyond that, i can’t comment because

A) i’ve actually done the labs
B) i haven’t taken the AP Bio yet

@srrinath My school teacher said that he can do two or three with me. Which labs do you suggest I do? Like maybe there were certain concepts that you understood only after doing lab x or lab y.

maybe lab 6 and 8 from the cliffs book. it’s honestly up to you. depends on which areas you’re weaker at.

Are you finished with the entire Bio course yet? If not where are you at?

i just highlighted…and read most of the book the day before

What score did you get?

No. We just sort of finished plants. My teacher is trying to cram the rest of the course in 4 days.

I’m done reading Cliff’s, but I don’t think I remembered half of what I read. Guess I got to go read it again. Fun.

I am still in hereditiy and have no clue what is in the rest of that book.

Oh boy!!!

yea…im only in the second section…since im still not sure how i should “read” the book to get the most out of it…

I read it straight through, and did the practice questions. I didn’t take many notes.

I just read it. Then again, I don’t remember half the stuff so that wasn’t exactly effective. But 10 days before the exam isn’t enough time for me to take notes… and actually use it.

so would you suggest reading it and taking notes is the most effective way to absorb the information?

Guess what I am going to do

i am going to skip 3 days of school study the book
During this period I am going to take may be 2 full practice test and read the whole book.
I think it’s going to help because everything is frest in your mind and I know someone who did this and a 5

^ Bio is on a Monday. You’re spending 5 days straight studying for it?

I was thinking about skipping too. But since all my classes are AP, we’re not exactly doing anything except for studying that week. Going to school and study shouldn’t be much different from staying at home for me.

Bio is on 05/04/09?

bio is on 5/11/09 not 5/04/09

Pink33837 u just scaried me

lol it’s just because he’s like “you have 5 days to study” so I though maybe in America you guys take the tests on a different day…

^gunsanbob
interesting…i would be drowned in school work if i decided to do that…i guess im jst gonna read it and take notes…it seems to help me absorb the info better.
