how big is the show HOUSE on campus?
i heard from a friend there alot of people get together in the lounges to watch it every tuesday
this sounds so awesome since it is such an amazing show

House has a fairly large following. Other favorites on campus include Nip/Tuck, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and 24.

aww no Prison Break??

Any major show will attract a sizable following. Big shows on my floor include Sunday and Monday night football, desparate housewives, project runway, and of course family guy. Not too many people on my floor watch House, but many, many people at Hopkins watch it. People often go out of thier way to watch the show. There is a religious following at Hopkins. House-Medicine-Hopkins it all fits. I only catch it once and a while; it's pretty good most of the time.

Popular lounge shows over my three years:

The OC (truly the only show that mysteriously, has a dual-gender following)
LOST
American Idol
Grey's Anatomy
Desperate Housewives
Prison Break
Law and Order: SVU
Project Runway

Sometimes campus groups will sponsor large-group viewing of shows...like this summer, the Graduate Student Organization hosted each and every World Cup game in the Hop Stop. Sororities tend to host The OC and other "girly" shows. Monday Night Football is sometimes accompanied by the big screen TVs in Levering and free wings, courtesy of different class' student officers.

Law and Order: SVU IS THE BEST!

I will second JHU_michelle's list. a lot of students also enjoy battlestar galactica. i think LOST, House, and Grey's has quite a cult following here.

Haha, hey SpikedSoyMilk! (I've been inactive on these forums for a really long time... but this guy is a CC friend who became a REAL friend, which is sooo much better!)

My wing watches House, Grey's, and Desperate Housewives. I think. I only really watch Grey's because Thursday nights are really free for me.

I pulled an all nighter with a bunch of friends watching the elections results come in.

that sounds like so much. i really hope i get in.

Now this is the type of question, you all should be asking...it is so much more fun then these questions about CHANCES, or how to fill out the online application.

Though I can't answer the direct question from the original poster, since I don't live on-campus, I can reveal the shows I most talk to students about (since I am the biggest TV junkie you will ever meet -- I own THREE TIVOS!!!)

(1) LOST
(2) 24
(3) House
(4) Prison Break
(5) Heroes
(6) L&O: SVU
(7) Standoff
(8) Numb2rs
(9) Family Guy
(10) The Office
(11) Studio 60 - I am a big fan, but no one talks to me about this show.

(Last) Desperate Housewives & Grey's Anatomy -- not saying these are not popular shows on campus (Grey's more than Housewives). But students who know me, know how much I loathe these shows, so they don't talk to me about it.

I LOVE STUDIO 60!!!

Do I get admission points now?

^___^

... wow...

I was just kidding.

even still

even still nothing. It was meant to be a funny joke.

HOUSE M.D. OWNS ALL lol jk but i love that show and I despise Grey's cause its not real medicine lol

Aren't all jokes meant to be funny?

Haha AdmissionsDaniels, I watch a lot of the same shows you do if I get the time, and I'm surprised that you don't watch "Vanished." Vanished used to be right after prison break, and it's also about government conspiracy...good stuff

kLuo28--
I tried Vanished, but I just couldn't commit to another series like that. The acting was not that good, and I really didn't care that much about the mystery. Similar reason to why I am not that big of a fan of The Nine.

I'll stick with LOST, 24, Prison Break as my serial dramas.
