For Class of 2006, Princet Requires New SAT I?

OK, this article http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/archives/2005/05/13/news/12921.shtml says that Princeton will require new SAT I only from class of 2006

The 04-05 Princeton Admission Data http://registrar1.princeton.edu/data/common/cds2004.pdf says that Princeton will accept eithr the old SAT I or the new one.

I am confused now; so, what is Princeton's SAT I decision for class of 2006?

what they mean is u must also submit the writing section

Does it say so? It does not specify that you have to take writing, right?

I was confused about this, too. I'm unable to take the new SAT, and have absolutely no desire to, either.

Can anybody who just recently visited Princeton tell us the most-updated information?

i would call the admissions office. last years viewbook says that the SAT I may be sent, but it will not replace the new SAT...

hhm.. i took the writing portion and got a 550. that is low so i am taking the new SAT.

guys, i am visiting princeton in two weeks. i'll take a ton of pictures and also have a bunch of information.

Princeton will require the NEW SAT in addition to three SAT II subject tests.

mustangpb11, where and when did you get this information from?

I took the old SAT 1 in December and was entirely pleased with it. Therefore, I decided that I would never take the SAT 1 again (it's a very relieving resolution). However, in order to have the writing section to submit to colleges (I'm in the Class of 06), I took the last offering of the Writing SAT II, along with Math II and Literature. Will they accept the old SAT I + my writing SAT II? I really hope so...

Does Princeton require ACT optional writing if you decide not to take SAT I?

Is the percent yield for ED 100%? I doubt?

Unfortunately, Princeton basically requires you to take the new SAT... anyway, I emailed them and this is what they said:

"Thank you for your inquiry. If you are graduating in 2006, we strongly advise you consider taking the new SAT tests. Test results from the current (soon to be old) version of the SAT I will still be acceptable and used along with, but not in lieu of scores from the new version of the SAT 1. We will continue to require three (3) SAT 2 test results."

darn it..
more people should send e-mails and complain, and maybe they would change...

I thought most top tier school (including Princeton) accepts ACT with optional writing to replace the requirement of SAT I?
