Wading through my pile of college supplements has made me tired and sick of reading dull prompts - the same question, in essence, with a wording change here and insert college name there.

Yet some schools has left me somewhat optimistic about the future of college's creativity.

Which schools, do you think, have the best essay prompts?

I must cast my vote for UChicago, for its prompt: "How did you get caught?"

I heard about that NYU one!! It was something like, if there was a movie on your life in 30 years or so, what would it be called. I have no clue what I would put for that…

I agree about the UChicago caught one. I wrote about my Physics teacher catching me talking, only to find out that she thought I was my best friend, who sat behind me.

Not that I didn’t talk. But I didn’t talk as much.

I think that’s about it. None of the others really stick out.

I wrote about what drew me to physics (and therefore, of course, wrote my common app essay on vegetables) and got in.

But I don’t think I really liked that essay - UPenn’s p. 217 and Chicago’s equation essay were nicer, IMO :D. I think I probably would’ve tried to sound offended that they mistook me for an equation and then tell a joke about e^x.
