For ED

For ED to PLME but not to Brown will you guys think that will decrease my chances at brown admission and if you are rejected from ED PLME are you deffered to RD or just outright rejected?

My interpretation was that if you didn't check the box I don't think you're eligible for Brown RD at all.
And no, unchecking that box does not affect your chances to get into the PLME program, but obviously it restricts you from being considered for non-PLME Brown ED or RD.

you are considered for PLME RD if you do not check the box

An early decision applicant who indicates a desire to be considered for entry into the PLME may be admitted in December to both the College and the PLME. However, some students may be selected for admission to the College but not the PLME. The College Admission Office realizes that these students may not wish to be admitted to the College under a binding early decision program if they are not also admitted to the PLME. Hence, the office asks all PLME applicants to indicate whether they wish to be considered under a binding early decision plan if they are not admitted to the PLME.

Those who answer “yes” (but are not admitted to the PLME) may be admitted, deferred or denied by the College. Those who are admitted are bound under the early decision agreement; they may or may not be admitted to the PLME in April. Those who are deferred may be admitted into the PLME in April under a nonbinding program. Those who are denied will not be considered again.

Those who answer “no” (and are not admitted to PLME) may be deferred or denied by the College. Those who are deferred may be admitted into the PLME in April under a nonbinding program. Those who are denied will not be considered again.

wait, so i applied ed to plme, and i checked the box. so i can be rejected by the plme but accepted to just the college non-binding, right?

if you checked "Yes", then if you get into the college (but not the PLME) ED, it will be binding

If ou checked "No", and you get rejected by the PLME, you will either get deferred or denied by the college, you cannot get in early, but you will be considered for reg. admission

oh man, that's kind of upsetting.. i was hoping that would pretty much make my brown app early action haha. i hoooooope i get into plme ed, but i doubt it..
