Hey guys! I applied to Georgetown MSB and got deferred. I’ve asked my interviewer and chances are my grades have hurt me. I got 1390 for SAT I and didn’t submit any subject tests. Now I decided to register for the January testing. Should I retake the SAT and try to improve my Reading and Writing sessions (only got 620…)? Or should I go for taking Math II, Physics/World history?
Honestly, I would just retake the sat, because with some practice you can improve a lot, whreas 3 different subject tests would be a little demanding imo (my CR + M went from 1290 to 1530 in a month, so it’s not really hard to get a good improvement)
I would suggest retaking the SAT. However, without ANY subject tests, I think your chances at admission are very slim (unless your reasons for not taking them were financial).
Georgetown wants 3 subject tests. Not having them is a big problem right off the bat. Also, for Georgetown, depending on your major, you’d need to have a foreign language and a history (all the social science/humanities majors).
You really should have three subject tests, and Georgetown doesn’t do score choice so they’d still have the 1390 anyway. I think you should go for the subject tests.
