For how long does a university keep a student's SAT scores?

I have a question....
How many months does a university keep a student's SAT scores? If a student takes a SAT II subject test on May and the score report is sent to a certain college, would all of his SAT scores remain with that college until he applies early decision/action to that college on November??

The college will set up a file for the potential applicant when they receive an SAT score. If the application comes later, the two should be matched up. Note though that mistakes are made and the college sometimes fails to put the two together.

Colleges are required to keep documents they receive for the admission process at least one year and then, for admitted students, until one year after the student is no longer a student at the college.

How can you find out if a college already has your SAT scores?
