For my fellow Jrs/Srs

Is anyone else a little less excited about going to college ever since the VA Tech shooting incident?

I know I can't be the only one lol...

I am kinda scared too.

yeah it kinda hit me too.

No.

Not to sound callous or anything, but stuff happens. Two students at my school were killed in a horrific car accident two weeks ago, but that doesn't make me any less excited about getting my license. I think that you can't live life comfortably while stressing about all the bad things that could happen to you.

At first, I thought what if that happens at my high school. Statistically though, it is still very unlikely for you to be a victim in something like that.

I'm not extremely excited for other reasons than school shootings.

Not at all. My feelings toawrds sttending college are unchanged. I think the chances of another shooting like VTech won't show up again after schools take another step toawrds security. Even if it does, what are the chances of it happening at YOUR school, and YOU being the one to go down (out of 1000s)?
